Meeting Notes
Balancer v3 Security One Pager
Tokenlogic - Attendees (AKG Emille — Zen Dragon) 45 Mins
- Tokenlogic will take a cautious approach to migrating GHO liquidity and incentives from v2 to boosted v3 pools but does support the Aave boosted USDC USDT GHO pool on mainnet.
- GHO expansion to Arbitrum as priority. Plans to be on Base, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Lens.
- Seeding of the buffers is greatly appreciated by Tokenlogic and will be communicated with other stakeholders at Aave as an act of good faith.
- Main priority for Aave is budget, they will maintain the same incentives budget in their migration from v2 to v3 with the expectation of attracting at least 30% greater TVL by end of Q2 - early Q3.
- Primary action item is to finalize a Balancer v3 security one pager which is in progress between Partner / BD team and SC team. Decision maker: MG
- Timeline is to scale in very softly on launch in December with more intention once audits are cleared to external LPs to migrate from v2 over.
- The same intentions for all stable and gyroscope pools and stablecoins with strong ties to the GHO - tokenlogic ecosystem. There is strong request from Matt Graham and company to fast track gyroscope in order to reduce migrations in the future.
- PyUSD, wUSDL, eventually USDe
- Not a short term issue but buffers for mainnet stablecoins will need to be funded by their supplying team in my opinion. This is open for discussion in the new year depending on adoption, performance, and partner feedback.
Pyrex - Attendees (DefiDave — Zen Dragon) 30 Mins
- Primary action item is to finalize a Balancer v3 security one pager which is in progress between Partner / BD team and SC team. Decision Maker: funky
- Must have call with ZD, lipman , and funky + dave from dinero side to discuss final set up.
- Initial plan is to open a Morpho market for pxETH and do a fully boosted pool. In the more reasonable case to do a morpho boosted wETH but this is dependent upon funky’s final sign off. Current Morpho market for apxETH not accessible.
- Incentives will move over to the v3 pool coordinated between our teams to scale in across 1-2 months.
- Dinero incentives planned to be same size with intention of increasing TVL. Will optimize amp factor and swap fee as well over the course of scale in. Intention of upping A and decreasing fee as TVL increases to win majority of orders.
- Ties into Arbitrum, pyrex will be powering orbETH a native asset for Arbitrum to be a part of the ETH derivative game. For a later date but well worth making Balancer v3 the hub for this via boosted pools. Potentially stablesurge as well.
Morpho - Attendees (Alexandra — Zen Dragon, Xeonus, Marcus) 30 mins
- As Morpho token is launching in the current weeks (mid to late November 2024) this is primary focus of team so answers will be fragmented on TG.
- Tom and Sandro from Morpho will handle seeding of buffers and incentives respectively from their side. I expect one more sync call between them and us to get their buffers off the ground. Decision Makers: Tom and Sandro
- One primary design decision is if their merkl incentives will leave the lending markets entirely to focus on pools, or if they will use a stataMorpho wrapped to claim and recycle.
- My initial thoughts are the more Morpho-wETH is used the more work it is to manage the merkl routing. It may be much easier to use the stata wrapper with a keeper handling claim and reinject for each pool respectively.
- Steakhouse will be focus for USDC and USDT vaults, Gauntlet will be the provider for wETH vault per most recent conversations.
- Morpho wants to be a Balancer launch partner for v3 and is confident their yields will outcompete other options (Aave etc.)
- Huge focus on BTC and Base going forward so great to leverage partnership further there.
