Overview
All current and future contributors to the DAO should read and fully understand this code as part of the onboarding procedure. This is a living document, though it will be kept intentionally brief to reflect the DAO’s ethos as an open and transparent organization.
Principles
The following are some key principles which set the standard for Balancer DAO’s day to day operations, interactions, and organizational culture:
Value
- The DAO is solely a contribution-based organization. All valuable contributions to Balancer DAO are subject to fair compensation. Contributors will not be discriminated against based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, country of origin, age, disability, or religion.
Inclusiveness
- We will foster an environment of respect, dignity, transparency, and inclusivity for all DAO participants
- Conflicts of interest should always be disclosed in the interest of transparency. It is great to participate in multiple DAOs/organizations as long as those relationships are not contrary to the interests of Balancer DAO.
Integrity
- All contributors should act with the utmost integrity and collaborate in an honest and ethical manner. Balancer DAO will hold all contributors accountable for their actions and expects contributors to hold each other accountable as well.
The mission of Balancer DAO is to promote the growth and adoption of the Balancer Protocol throughout decentralized finance and beyond. All contributors should strive to follow the principles outlined above in good faith so we can work together to push Balancer to greater and greater heights!
